President Obama's SMS Question Responses
While in Ghana, Africa as part of his trip to Russia, Italy and Africa in July, President Obama invited questions regarding his Administration's policies towards Africa to be submitted via text, twitter and blogs. A panel of African journalists based in Washington was asked to select three questions for the President to respond to. Here are the President's responses to these questions.

Pakistani-American writer Daniyal Mueenuddin reads an excerpt from his short story “Nawabdin Electrician”. The U.S. Embassy brought Daniyal to London and Birmingham to attend the Asia House Festival of Asian Literature and to speak with students, writers, and artists about his new book, In Other Rooms, Other Wonders.

Letter to the Working-Men of Manchester, England
On January 19,1863 President Lincoln wrote a letter to the Working-men of Manchester thanking them for their support and acknowledging the suffering the blockade during the civil war was having on the people of Lancashire. Matt Goshko press officer at the U.S.Embassy in London, reads the letter.
